19th Century Cast Iron Piano Stool by Charles Parker Co.

Late 19th century circa 1885–1905

American adjustable piano or organ stool by the Charles Parker Company of Meriden, Connecticut, clearly stamped “CHAS. PARKER CO.” on the cast iron collar. The stool features a solid cast iron central column with classical relief detailing, supported by three elegant twisted wrought iron legs terminating in looped feet. The circular wooden seat appears original, with a warm, well-aged patina and visible surface wear consistent with over a century of use.

The casting quality and ornamentation reflect the high standard of late 19th century American industrial metalwork for which Charles Parker Co. was known. Originally intended for use with piano or organ, the piece now functions beautifully as an accent stool, occasional table, or sculptural decorative object in both traditional and industrial interiors.

A strong example of American Victorian-era cast iron furniture.
