Pair of Dudson Brothers Hanley Blue Jasperware Neoclassical Column Table Lamps

A refined pair of English jasperware column lamps produced by Dudson Brothers, executed in cobalt blue stoneware with applied white neoclassical relief decoration. The elegant columnar forms feature classical ornament including stylized palmettes, foliate motifs, and classical figures rendered in crisp white relief against the deep blue ground, following the celebrated jasperware tradition developed in Staffordshire potteries during the late 18th century. Each lamp rises from a spreading circular base decorated with a continuous white relief border. The slender architectural columns support bronze-toned metal mounts with lotus-form candle cups, complementing the neoclassical aesthetic. Originally produced as decorative jasperware columns, the pieces were later mounted as table lamps, creating sophisticated lighting suitable for traditional, Regency, or neoclassical interiors.
