A local consignment shop may be limited to a much smaller audience. For the right piece, broader exposure can create more competition and a stronger selling opportunity.
Our objective is not simply to sell an item quickly. It is to identify the appropriate market, present the piece correctly and reach the buyers most likely to understand its value.
Design-market experience informs each step: research and attribution, appropriate pricing and positioning, and professional presentation. Existing buyer relationships help connect the right material with collectors, interior designers, architects and dealers.

Submissions will be reviewed privately. If an object is a fit, we discuss attribution, condition, pricing, commission and timing before an agreement is made.
Client photographs will not be published or converted into inventory automatically. Every object and image requires an intentional review and approval.
Typical consignment structure
Idealforms generally works on a 50/50 basis, with the consignor receiving 50% of net sale proceeds.
Final terms are confirmed after review and may vary for larger collections, multiple-item consignments, or unusual material.
Full transparency
Before anything is offered for sale, we agree on pricing, commission, markdowns, and any expected selling costs.
After a sale, the consignor receives a clear breakdown of the sale price, applicable fees, and final payout.
How net proceeds are calculated
Gross sale price: The final selling price before third-party selling fees.
Net sale proceeds: The amount remaining after applicable marketplace commissions, payment-processing fees, and any item-specific expenses agreed to in advance.
